The Restaurant

Our social gastronomy restaurant is a hands-on training space where our trainees and chefs prepare and serve an exciting menu that changes every day. Located in a peaceful area of the new city, in Gueliz, the restaurant is open for lunch six days a week (closed on Sunday) from noon to 3:30 pm. The menu changes every day depending on what is in season and what our chefs have dreamt up for you. Friday is a special day where we only serve couscous, the traditional Friday dish, and usually receive two or three times the amount of customers as any other day.

“I was 19 years old when I first came to Amal. I knew I was young but if Amal didn't take me in I would've been forced to get married. I am ambitious and the skills I learned at Amal are surely helping me realize my dreams”.

Amal's Trainee
how it works

The ultimate social gastronomy experience

Enjoy a mouth-watering meal

Come for lunch and enjoy either a traditional Moroccan dish or a selection of international cuisine.

Trainees get real life practice

The trainees cook your meal alongside our chefs and get that valuable, hands-on practice that makes our program a success.

Revenue helps Amal grow

100% of the revenue from the restaurant is put back into our social mission: covering training expenses and opening new projects like the Sign Language Cafe.

Pop in for lunch

Lunch is served from 12 - 3:30 pm (closed on Sundays). Our menu changes every day, as this gives our students exposure to the maximum number of dishes and recipes. Choose from 4 starters, 4 main dishes, 2 desserts and a selection of fresh, seasonal juices.

Book a special dinner

We are normally closed for dinner, but are happy to open by reservation for groups of 20 or more. A cozy, intimate experience tailored just for you.
